Landscape Art: Abstract vs Representational

FRANK Gallery artists, Carroll Lassiter and R. Scott Horner, will talk about their work and give you insights into their processes. Carroll’s representational landscape paintings aim to faithfully represent the natural world, while Scott’s abstract paintings convey emotions, impressions, or ideas about the landscape through non-literal means.

Is one way better than the other? Well, you may not get the answer to that question, but you will come away with a fuller understanding of these two approaches to landscape painting.
