ARTIST STATEMENT
In my work, I use elements of organic terrain to create lush, otherworldly landscapes. Inspired by canyons, sand dunes, and rock formations, I paint imagined places full of saturated colors and rhythmic, impossible overlaps. My fascination with contrast guides my palette and compositional choices, introducing moments of tension into each piece. These surreal spaces invite viewers into a dreamlike geography where they might wander or lose their way.

ARTIST BIO
Originally from Maryland, Julia Nagle is an oil painter specializing in vibrant imagined landscapes. In 2020, Julia graduated from Boston College with a major in English and a minor in studio art. Since then, she has worked to develop her portfolio and exhibit her paintings locally. Her work has been displayed in Carrboro, Hillsborough, and Raleigh.
