Gilded series: Copper Currents

Elijah’s most recent body of work, sculptures in his Gilded series are crafted using hand-cut shreds of genuine gold, silver or copper leaf, and inclusions of natural mineral flakes. Delicately layered into each sculpture’s design, he carefully encases the metal inclusions between individual glass shards while building the composition’s shape. This meticulous process forms flashes of vein-like trails that illuminate the sculpture with an ethereal, opulent glow.
