Coffee with FRANK – Photographing Artwork

May 3 @ 10:00 am 11:00 am

Budget-friendly ways to photograph your art
by R. Scott Horner
Free | Coffee & Donuts Provided

The painting is finished, but now you have to post it to Instagram and your website, or maybe send it off to be jurried, or maybe you need to document your collection. So you have to take a photo.

Of course, the best way to document your work is to hire a photographer with the right equipment – cameras, lenses, lighting etc. But for many of us, we don’t have the resources to do that. In this coffee talk, painter R. Scott Horner will cover budget-friendly ways you can photograph your artwork.

After years of trying to get good photos of his work, Scott has developed a method that is mostly color correct, well lit, and high resolution. Scott will show you how to use your cell phone and free software to get the job done. He will talk mostly about photographing paintings, but will also share tips on photographing three-dimentional artwork.

Join us for our monthly Coffee with FRANK series that invites you to slow down, sip a warm cup of coffee, and engage with the creative community at FRANK Gallery!
