ARTIST STATEMENT

I feel very fortunate to have the responsibility of stewarding a small facet of art and to be able to create and learn from my fellow artists.  Over the years, I’ve worked in oils, graphite, and colored pencil mediums.  I use elements of realism through pieces that show snapshots of emotion and touch.  My current work reflects a minimalistic approach in subject and composition while continuing to explore graphite and colored pencil mediums. Through my art, I want to connect with people and to be a part of the evolving body of art.
