HISTORY

FRANK Gallery was founded in 2010 as the result of a partnership between the Town of Chapel Hill and a group of local artists who came together with a shared vision to create an arts organization in downtown Chapel Hill. FRANK is both a fine art gallery representing the best of the local artists, as well as a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the community through the arts.

COMMITMENT TO THE ARTS

As a collective and non-profit, FRANK is guided by commitment, passion, and the highly skilled expertise of the member artists, board members, and staff, all of whom are active community members and representatives of the professional, academic, and non-profit sectors. The mission of the Franklin Street Arts Collective is to support the local arts community and promote a vibrant downtown Chapel Hill through exhibits, events, programs, and educational outreach through FRANK Gallery. FRANK has a strong focus on making arts accessible to the community through an inclusive and welcoming space.

WELCOME ALL

At FRANK, we pride ourselves on being an all inclusive, non-discriminatory organization that aims to serve the community as a whole. When it comes to the arts, all ideas, visions, and perspectives are not only welcome, but necessary. FRANK gallery member artists, board members, and staff are committed to creating an environment that welcomes and respects everyone regardless of age, ability, ethnicity, race, religion, philosophical or political beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity, nationality, geographic origin, and socioeconomic status.
