DESCRIPTION:FRANK’s signature fundraising event is well-known for its excitement\, spectacular selection of art\, and community roots. Join us in our 12th year as we support FRANK Gallery’s mission to enrich our community through art. \nWhen is the Gala? Saturday\, October 8th\, 2022 at 6 p.m. Eastern for Zoom and no later than 5:15pm for in person \nHow does it work? With the purchase of an Art Ticket\, the ticket holder’s name is entered into a pool with other art ticket holders at the beginning of the night. When the drawing starts\, the names of art ticket holders will be drawn at random (this is the fun part!) and read out loud by our emcee\, local radio personality\, Aaron Keck. Once your name is called\, you’ll have one minute to choose your favorite piece of art “off the wall” to take home. It gets exciting as you never know what the next piece to go will be! This year we will be hosting the event hybrid\, meaning we will be offering a limited amount of art and companion tickets for guests to attend in person! The in person guests will enjoy catered dinner from the exquisitely talented Alan Dehmer as well as able to partake in an open bar. \nThere will be over 70 pieces of donated art (from our generous artists!) all valued at more than the price of a ticket! We invite you to see all the artwork ahead time in two ways\, in-gallery or online. Visit the gallery the week before the event to see all the donated art hanging and soon we’ll start adding previews of donated art on our website\, updated with new art as we receive it — so check back often! \nWhere? The Gala will be held at the gallery and be live broadcast via Zoom for attendees who want to enjoy art and gourmet food in the comfort and safety of their home.  \nHow much are tickets? Tickets for virtual attendance are $395 for two people for one piece of art. Prices for art ticket holders in-person will be $450 and an additional $75 for a companion. Each in-person art ticket and companion ticket will receive one piece of art\, and will partake in a catered dinner. \nWe would love if you could join us from anywhere in the country and are happy to ship you the piece of art you win at an additional cost.  \n  \n

The performance will be among the wonderful works of art in the gallery’s Contemporary Native American Artist Invitational exhibit. \nRyan Dial-Stanley\, a Medical Lab Scientist at the UNC Medical Center\, is a member of the Lumbee tribe. He graduated last year from UNC with a Bachelors of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science and a minor in American Indian and Indigenous Studies. \nDial-Stanley served as the co-chair of the Powwow committee of the Carolina Indian Circle. The annual Powwows he led were close to his heart\, and he has attended them with his family since he was five years old. \nThe January 29 performance at The FRANK Gallery will be limited to 40 attendees. SUMMARY:2021 Off the Wall Fundraising Gala
DESCRIPTION:FRANK’S SIGNATURE FUNDRAISING EVENT IS WELL-KNOWN FOR ITS EXCITEMENT\, SPECTACULAR SELECTION OF ART\, AND COMMUNITY ROOTS. JOIN US IN OUR 11TH YEAR AS WE SUPPORT FRANK GALLERY’S MISSION TO ENRICH OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH ART. \nHow does it work? With the purchase of an Art Ticket\, the ticket holder’s name is entered into a pool with other art ticket holders at the beginning of the night. When the drawing starts\, the names of art ticket holders will be drawn at random (this is the fun part!) and read out loud by our emcee\, local radio personality\, Aaron Keck. Once your name is called\, you’ll have one minute to choose your favorite piece of art “off the wall” to take home. It gets exciting as you never know what the next piece to go will be! \nYou are also invited to visit the gallery the week before the event to see all the donated art in person and we will be sending out an artwork list prior to the event so everyone can make a list of your favorite art\, in order of preference.  \nThere will be over 70 pieces of donated art (from our generous artists!) all valued at more than the price of a ticket and will be posted on our website prior to the event\, so stay tuned and check back often to get an early look. \nWhere? The Gala will be live broadcast via Zoom from the Gallery to your home where you can enjoy art and gourmet food in the comfort and safety of home.  \nHow much are tickets? Tickets for virtual attendance are $395 for two people for one piece of art.  \nWe would love if you could join us from anywhere in the country and are happy to ship you the piece of art you win at an additional cost.

DESCRIPTION:Please join us via Facebook Live for a reading an interview by local author and FRANK guest artist\, Mirinda Kossoff interviewed by Nora Gaskin. Mirinda’s highly anticipated book\, The Rope of Life: A Memoir\, is a daughter’s story told with love and compassion. Readers will come away wiser about family bonds and the ways in which they can hurt or heal. Mirinda took one flight in her father’s Cessna Skyhawk as he piloted and navigated by landmarks that revealed themselves through openings in the trees below. A short three years later\, he was dead at age fifty-six. \nMemory of that ride fueled Kossoff’s desire to understand who her father was and the forces that shaped him. And by extension\, how he shaped her life. Her need to know and to understand became a life-long pursuit. As well as being an exceptional jeweler\, Her essays and creative writing have been passions she pursued alongside her day jobs. SUMMARY:2020 Off the Wall Fundraising Gala
DESCRIPTION:How does it work? With the purchase of an Art Ticket\, the ticket holder’s name is entered into a random drawing the night of the event. In order to view all the artwork ahead time\, you can click on the“Donated Art” button (below) prior to the event—which is updated as new art pieces come in. You are also invited to visit the gallery October 6th-10th 12-5pm to see all the donated art in person and we will be sending out an artwork list on October 6th so everyone can make a list of your favorite art\, in order of preference.  When the drawing starts\, the names of art ticket holders will be drawn at random (this is the fun part!) and read out loud by our emcee\, local radio personality\, Aaron Keck. Once your name is called\, you’ll have one minute to choose your favorite piece of art “off the wall” to take home. It gets exciting as you never know what the next piece to go will be! \nThere will be over 60 pieces of donated art all valued at more than the price of a ticket and will be posted on our website prior to the event\, so stay tuned and check back often to get an early look. The format of this year’s event will be a little different since it will be done virtually however we can assure you the same exciting event with the same quality and value of beautiful art choices. We will be sending out a form for your preference of food and drink and will be making non-contact deliveries prior to the event for each ticket holder with a charcuterie box from Femme Fromage\, bottle of your choice of wine from Gioiawines\, or non-alcoholic beverage\, and sweet treat from SmallCakes. \nWhere? VIRTUALLY! The Gala will be live broadcast via Zoom from the Gallery to your home where you can enjoy art and gourmet food in the comfort and safety of home. It will be a different Gala for sure\, but we promise it will still have the same excitement as years past! \nHow much are tickets? Typically tickets are $450 and an extra $50 to bring a companion\, however\, since the format (not the fun!) is different this year the tickets are $375 for two people for one piece of art. TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT! \nWe would love if you could join us from anywhere in the country and are happy to ship you the piece of art you win at an additional cost.

FRANK artists and other well-known area artists have donated works of art to our 7th Annual Gala Celebration\, each valued between $350 to $3\,000 (or more)! During the event\, excitement builds as the evening’s MC randomly draws names\, allowing each Art Ticket holder to take a turn to select a piece of his or her choosing. All tickets include free signature and traditional drinks\, and plenty of delicious food prepared by talented local chefs. Dress for the evening is artfully festive\, but not black-tie formal.  Tickets can be purchased in person or online up to the day of the Gala (or until we sell out). We look forward to celebrating this wonderful event with you!

Come ready to traverse the downtown\, track down clues\, and snap photos based on a series of clues from FRANK gallery. \nThis photo scavenger hunt will highlight the triangle\, a shape that carries many meanings. It symbolizes strength\, harmony\, unity\, and balance. It appears in the world everywhere\, both in nature and by design. Inspired by the annual Click! Triangle Photography Festival\, this hunt is about finding triangles or using creative methods to make your own. \nThe best thing about this scavenger hunt is you don’t need a fancy camera or a trained photographer’s eye. All you need is a phone and an Instagram\, Twitter\, or Facebook account. It’s all about experimenting with photography and exploring the way it can bring us together.
