FRANK Loves VOLUNTEERS!
FRANK Gallery located on Franklin Street downtown Chapel Hill was established in 2010 by the Franklin Street Arts Collective a non-profit organization. The Gallery is a showcase for contemporary art by established local & regional artists, a gathering place for art lovers to enjoy the public events featuring demonstrations, talks & performances. We are an organization run by one staff member, and a large team of artists and volunteers. Help and participation by students and community members is key to making FRANK an award winning arts organization and gallery.
Interning at FRANK
FRANK typically employs 1-2 unpaid interns each academic semester. At the minimum, internships last for the duration of the semester, but can be extended if the student desires to continue volunteering with us. Our academic year interns typically work between 8-12 hours per week on a variety of projects (hours can vary based on credit requirements); summer interns between 12-20 hours per week. These include, but not limited to, making sales and general gallery management, inventory and artwork management, social media, marketing, exhibitions and event planning & fundraising. A background in retail sales is a plus but not required.
All majors will be considered, please just let us know why you are choosing FRANK.
Volunteering at FRANK
FRANK IS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR GREAT VOLUNTEERS WITH AN INTEREST IN THE ARTS AND A DESIRE TO BE INVOLVED IN A WONDERFUL ORGANIZATION.
We have a variety of opportunities available for volunteers; because FRANK is a hybrid organization made up of several parts, we benefit from volunteers with diverse backgrounds in many disciplines. Our current volunteer opportunities include:
