Travel Journal Class: Plein Air Drawing and Photography

Description:
Join FRANK artists Nerys Levy, drawing and Barbara Tyroler, photography for a hands-on art experience to tone up one’s vision and technical craft through the lens or with a drawing tool.  Both artists will stress observation with attention to composition, light quality, and design found in the buildings and environment of the Blackwood Farm, including the pond, historic farmhouse, barn, smoke house, corncrib and other buildings, slave cemetery in the woods.

Students may participate in one or both of the classes. Please register for your initial commitment.

What to Bring: For drawing, all materials provided for new registrants. .For all those who have taken FRANK Classes before please bring your journaling book, grey scale, plastic grid/viewer, pencils etc, chair, hat, water. We will try to beat the heat!!

For photography, bring laptop and camera (iphones and ipads acceptable)

All students will meet at the picnic shelter.  Site includes 4 miles of hiking trails, picnic shelter with tables, parking, bathroom facilities, pond, historic farmhouse, barn, smoke house, corncrib and other buildings, slave cemetery in the woods.
