Art is medicine for the soul.
Paint, brushes, crayons, paper can’t cure cancer, but they do help people transcend suffering and worry. That’s why the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and FRANK Gallery collaborate to provide art supplies to patients and their caregivers in the N.C. Cancer Hospital. The program is called the Oncology Expressive Arts Program and they need your help!
The Oncology Expressive Arts Program at the N.C. Cancer Hospital is one of FRANK Gallery’s many community-outreach programs. Every holiday season, the FRANK artists and our caring community members gather a small mountain of art supplies at the gallery to help spread cheer through the arts, and allow this incredible program to begin their year off with a freshly stocked supply of materials.
We will be collecting items beginning December 1, with our annual celebration of this wonderful program and it's staff taking place as part of our 2nd Friday Artwalk on Friday, December 9th. All "Artwalkers" are encouraged, but not required, to bring an item to donate to the bin.
