Join us for an evening to celebrate the accomplishments of Orange Literacy, and organization whose mission is to help adults reach their education, employment and life goals. We do this by providing free, flexible instruction in reading, writing and basic math, English and computer skills and GED preparation.
Special presenter, and student, Fidel Campos-Sorto will do the reading at this very special reception. He started with Orange Literacy as an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) student and has since tested out of that program. He is now in the Adult Basic Ed program and is also studying for citizenship. He is excited to share ideas and offer a voice for himself and his classmates during this event.
We are also very pleased to announce special guest musicians Miles Andrews and Big Fat Gap, a Chapel Hill based Bluegrass Band (visit their site to learn more).
